Foolishly I let these guys talk me into giving me my credit card number. They called me several times to prove their legitimacy, selling me a holiday in the US. I'm in Sydney. I'm going to chalk this one to lesson learned but it would be nice if these guys were held accountable at some point....

Really professional mob calling in regards to a heavily discounted holiday to america. They get your info (email, ph no, address etc) from an online survey linked to ninemsn.com.au. The survey asked you questions about various products, places, interests etc in return for the chance to win a $1000 voucher at kmart and $1000 voucher for coles. You receive calls from the information you give in the answers in the survey ie. Have you been to america and would you travel there etc.. This scam was...

The agents names are Temis Chappe, Travel Agent ID 7008 and Derrica Wilson, Travel Agent ID 2922. Manager's name Daniel. They became aggressive when I asked about the company information e.g. Shareholders, company # and when it was founded. I refused to give credit card details and Daniel became angry and hung up. GD escapes called, advised I had won a trip for 4 to Orlando plus Bahamas cruise and stopover in Las Vegas. All sounded pretty convincing up until they ask for your credit card details. I think this might be the same scam as the "Great Holiday Destinations" one posted a couple of months ago. They quote Travel Agent ID numbers, advise you of a timeshare meeting requirement. They even gave a Contact Number of (813) 9153280. I became suspicious at the point where they wanted Credit Card details,...

I got a call yesterday from Benjamin Charette regarding some promotional holiday offer. He said that I had filled up a survey and the offer was in return for the survey undertaken. The deal sounded too good to be true - 16 days of holiday (5 star accomodation, car rentals, etc) in Florida, Bahamas and Las Vegas for just $ 698!!! It was 10.30 am in Western Australia, so asked him what time was it in Florida. He replied that it was around 10 pm and I would be the last person for him that night. I...

I got hit with this scam, I did a survey and then received numerous phone calls from a private number. I answered it and was told I had won a great holiday. All I had to pay was $760 and attend a time share meeting in Florida. It included a cruise to the Bahamas and Fort Lauderdale. I only paid half $349US. I was a little worried about it, but I spoke to three different people and received so much information from them. They made it believable. So cancelled our card so they can't get anymore...

Almost identical to other complaints I too completed a survey and received a call from US to my work number which I supplied. I was advised by a colleague a person rang twice on Friday (when I was not working) and would not leave a return number. They said they had exciting news for me. On Monday I received a call from GD Escape (Vanessa #2709) advising I had won a trip for 4 to Florida, Bahamas bla bla bla ... all I had to do was pay for flights and attend a 90 min Time Share seminar then she...

Was called and notified that I had won a holiday package to the value of $698 for 4 people. I live in Australia so I hope I don't get charged a huge fee for answering the call. I knew it sounded too good to be true because from the moment, he asked me about my credit cards and told me that I had to pay the $698, when I said I don't have that amount of money on them, he become aggressive and started to harass me....

Received a phone call and told that by filling out a survey recently I now had the opportunity of a 7-day Radisson Hotel offer in Orlando, Florida with a choice of a 2-day Disney or Universal pass or a 7-day free car rental. This offer was for up to four people and valid for 18 months and to give 40 days' booking notice. As an option one could include for $299 per person go on a 'Carnival' cruise to Nassau in the Bahamas for 3 nights/2 days with no more to pay. Also the two weeks holiday would...
