AT&T's throttling of unlimited internet customers is outrageous and I cannot understand why the PUCs and class action lawyers have not gone after them. You sign up for unlimited internet, you pay the money monthly, then they cut you off full speed when you exceed some varying limited data amount in a month. AT&T is overcharging data charges even when network connection is turned off. Cell phone is set on wifi entire time. They do not care to acknowledge equipment failure and want to just upgrade your phone. They refuse to investigate any discrepancies and will not remove billing errors. So I signed up with AT&T online. Within the "30 day buyer's remorse" I returned my two lines to a local corporate store. I first got a bill for $236. My billing cycle ended at exactly 1:59AM on February 14th and between 2AM and 3:30AM AT&T recorded over 100MB of data usage on my phone, except that my phone was completely powered off. On 7/8/08 I called AT&T to change my cell phone calling plan because my husband and I are not using all of our 1400 anytime minutes each month and they are going into roll over minutes each month.
