Direct TV installed a dish back in 12/2012. Hooked up to my tv with cable and a 9" wire adapter. Had service for 6mths, had service temporary cut off until 2/2013. Paid 53.41 for a tech to come and re-hook up my service. Tech never showed up nor did I received credit, which was told I would get back if tech did not show up. I lost a whole days pay and tech didn't show up, said he was waiting on equipment on another job. I paid for viewing service until May 2014 and still never received credit...

Direct TV-They are a rip off - Cable Service

I had a past due balance in October and when I called them to pay it, they took the payment. Then they turned around three days later and sent me another bill with the October balance still on it. i called them and they said to disregard it because THEY has a system error in October where it look as if peoples payments did not process. Just converted from Cox cable TV to Direct TV as My son's girlfriend moved in and has a 2 yr. contract. Several of the channels that we pay each month to watch give an error message searching for a signal. We called to have the issue resolved and were told we have to pay an additional $50 to have a technician to come out and correct the problem. This is their service and their equipment. Direct TV provides an unreliable service and poor product quality. We will never use the company again....

I had lightning strike my Direct TV dish and as a result my 40 inch LED TV, modem and router fried completely. I had the system looked at by an electrical engineer, who noticed that the installer had grounded the system improperly which subsequently caused the damage. When I signed up for Direct TV with Century-link. I was told that my bill for internet and direct tv service would be about $65.00 a month. The following month I was informed that their service would increase. First months bill was about $70.00; the second month the bill was $113.00; the third month the bill was $132.00.
