Apple

[temporary notes] - bought iPad1 three years ago in USA - I live in Thailand - last year, I damaged the screen internally - took it to Authorized Service Provider to ask to have it repaired out of warranty - cannot repair devices (no facilities) - cannot ship device to repair center elsewhere in the world (whether Singapore, China or USA), but can buy a refurbished replacement for $500 (comes with 3-month warranty) and must wait 2 weeks for replacement to be shipped from Singapore - I decided...

Trend Micro

I received a promotional email from Trend Micro probably because I purchased their Pc-cillin antivirus product in 2006. I have never been able to get the product to work and I consider the people at Trend Micro to be pirates and thieves as they never sent me my rebate and stole my Norton security product. Trend Micro is a company that should be avoided and it would be better for all if they got out of the computer business. I have since purchased other pc security products that work very well....

APL*Apple iTunes Store

I have 5 pending charges from this place as of 8/31/13 totalling $54.21. I just find it a coincidence and I just recently purchased an Ipad this past Monday and now there are unauthorized purchases on my cc from Itunes. I have not purchased anything on Itunes, no apps, nothing. My cc info isn't saved on the device or on itunes. I just want to know how they got my cc info....

APL*Apple iTunes Store

I discovered two charges to my debit card for $40.00 each to I tunes stores. I immediately called the number on my bank statement and was connected to Apple support. I do not own any Apple products. I was told someone had set up an I tunes account and used the debit card to purchase 2 Gift cards, then immediately redeem them. I was also told that they could do nothing, except close the account. When I requested the IP address from where the purchase was made, I was refused due to Apple's...

APPLE ONLINE STORE
APPLE COMPUTER CORP. Fraudulent Debit card charges on my Bank Statement

My bank statement shows (3) debit charges of $99.00 that were made on 12/14/10 @ 11:52 pm. The charges are referenced to the Apple online store. I contacted the Apple online store at the number provided on the bank statement. The representative said the charges were for an extended warranty for an IPad computer. He told me the only thing he could do was escalate my complaint of fraud to his analyst dept. that handles these issues. I asked him for a reference number for my complaint and I guess...

HP (Hewlett Packard)
HP ,Hewlett Packard, HP sells over-priced, not needed equipment.

I bought a HP computer in 3/09 but my existing HP printer would not work. HP told me I needed a compatible HP printer, sold it to me over the phone. A couple months ago I bought triple volume ink cart for 2X retail - seemed a good deal - but it ran out of ink in short period. I don't print a lot. HP tech help said the heads were bad and I needed an "upgrade" of my printer for $134. I ordered it, received it on 12/10/10. Instruction said the disc would start automatically to install the unit. It...

Apple ITunes
Apple iTunes iTunes Store stole $3 from my existing account

On Jan 15th, 2010 I had an iTunes store account with over $34, which had all been credited from iTunes cards, primarily purchased from Best Buy. On the 15th I purchase a software upgrade (3.1.1) for my iTouch. With Taxes the purchased amounted to $5.33, however the iTunes store deducted not only the $5.33 but an additional $3 which they didn't show on the invoice. I probably wouldn't have noticed but I was planning on another purchase so was watching the balance carefully. While this isn't 2...

Symantec
Norton Slight of hand fraud by technician. Norton 360

The Norton 360 GUI under PC Security kept saying I was At RISK that a virus scan need to be ran. I would run a scan but the software would not update. It still said I was At RISK and did not record the date under Last Scan. I connected to Symantec support and established a chat screen with a technician. I then did what was necessary to let him access my system to work the problem. The technician ran a scan removed a tracking cookie. It appeared at first that he had corrected the problem. But...

Knowledge Surf Technologies
Never Delivered - Unreliable Development Firm

I wrote a contract with Knowledge Surf Technologies for software/application development. We had a clear date for delivery. A 3 week project rolled into months with excuse after excuse. I provided source code from a previous project to them. The best excuse was that they had another client that had priority and had paid monies up front to them. Since my company had payment scheduled at delivery, then they explained I did NOT have priority and therefor I got second rate treatment. I finally...

Entertainment Shopping, Inc. ,Swoopo.com
SwoopoEntertainment Shopping, Inc. Swoopo.com alleged scam site is ripe for corrupt practices with no means of verification; beware!!

I have been monitoring this site over the last few days and tracking auctions. I dont necessarly have the same problems as previously listed. Mainly because the general format and proceedures is available in writting on the website. Many of thier points are good, but if you don't read the terms it is your own fault. What I do have a problem with is the apparent randomness in which times are increased. In most cases an item reaching a time of zero is increased by 10 - 15 seconds if another bid...

Trend Micro Incorporated
Trend Micro - refund policy is a scam

I purchased Trend Micro's AntiVirus 2008 from Best Buy. Due to software compatibility issues, I could not get it to work right. Best Buy does not offer a refund for opened software so I contacted Trend Micro and asked how to get a refund directly from them, but they emailed me back telling me that they are "bound to comply with the retail store policies." It's quite absurd for them to hide behind a retail store's policies and totally abandon the customer with unusable software! Nothing about it...

Apple Computer Inc.
Apple iPhone Customer Service

To Whom it May Concern at Apple: Three years ago, when I dropped my trusty Blackberry 7130c into a pot of water, I was immediately honest with AT&T and RIM. My first call was to AT&T because I had purchased the phone through them. They offered me a deal on the newest Blackberry, but the lady also suggested I call RIM directly and see if the phone could be repaired. I think she was also suggesting that I "change" my story and neglect to mention the part where I dropped the phone into the...

Trend Micro
And OnRebate.com Rebate ripoff

Trend Micro rebate ripoff- I sent in a competitive upgrade rebate after buying Trend Micro software. I stapled the proof of purchase to the form and sent originals of the competitor's manual pages. The rebate was denied. The rebate is handled by the rebate vendor Onrebate.com. They had a scan of what they claimed that I sent. I looked at it. Amazing- I see staple holes where my proof was attached. Someone removed it. Or as my mom said when I was young, it just got up and walked away. Also, the...

Norton Symantec AntiVirus
Norton Sym CREDIT CARD THEFT

I purchased Norton Antivirus for a Mac computer in 2006 because I was getting so much spam from Nigeria... After installing the product on my Mac, it ran slower than a dog. After a couple of months, I removed the product from my computer. What I didn't know, Symantec has (somewhere) imbedded small text during the initial installation process to auto-renew the product and charge your credit card. Hundreds of people have complained about this, and it seems like Symantec (Norton) is doing a good...

Norton Symantec
Corporation They hacked into by bank acct

March 2007 I used a debit card linked to my bank account to renew Norton Symantec. That debit card was disabled in July 2007 and the number was no longer valid. My Norton Symantec "virus protection' was due to expire this year on March 24th, 2008. I began receiving e-mail notices to renew. I had been out of town and decided to deal with it when I got back by "updating" my account with a Master Card credit card instead of using the debit method. Desperate for their money, Norton Symantec...
