I disconnected my Verizon telephone service in August 2004 when I moved out of my apartment. I was assured by the representative that they would send the final bill to my new address. I signed up with Verizon as part of a bundle with Century Link. I separated the bundle when I moved. 18 months later I was having issues with being able to make the $220 a month bill. I called to make arrangements for shut the phones down until I could pay. My husband lost his job so I was having to pay all the bills. They would not work with me. I had ordered Verizon's Double Play package on the internet and this gave me DSL and local phone service for $44.99 a month for 12 months and the router and shipping was free as they claimed. They said they could possibly do up to 7Megabit/second with this package and they'd need to provision the line and see what the actual rate was. i have verizon residential phone service, verizon will bill for 3rd party entities whether the charges are valid or made up, without approval of the customer, i have flat rate service so when my bill jumps $15 i notice, this has happened several times, i call customer service and they say the charges come from OAN services and they can not remove the charges for the sevices, not ordered by me, from your bill and say they will continue to bill my account for any third party entity that submits...

Malfunction of equipment

After exhausting multiple contacts with Verizon Fios, the TV equipment installed in our home continues to malfunction. After meeting with their techs the problems remain. The tech usually says that someone will call in the next few days. This has happened time and again. No one ever calls. Verizon seems to be operating on the hope that if they ignore the problem long enough it will go away. I can not recommend this service to anyone....

Had a Verizon FIOS/internet account in 2008 and closed. I disliked the service and cancelled, PAID IN FULL ON MY ACCOUNT; credit report states "paid in full; charge off", account closed. I have been trying patiently to resolve a fios Movie freezing at a 9 minute interval problem for the last 6 months. I have had 3 DVRS replaced , 2 routers, the outer fiber optic box replaced and moved away from a ONCUR new meter. While installing the underground fiber optic line, they created gaping holes and lifted my grass - leaving rocks and gravel along the path they dug. In addition, they went under my driveway and caused a crack the entire width of the driveway which has now spidered out.
