Mediocre Airline

I fly regularly for business on Air Canada and consistently receive poor service from this mediocre airline. I would switch company in a blink however I am hold hostage as they have monopole of our local airport so no alternative airlines are currently available. Not only are they outrageously expensive when compared to their competitors, you also pay for almost everything with the exception of a non-alcoholic drink. One of my main issues is that Air Canada just doesn't seem capable of flying on time. My flights are consistently delayed (about 50% of the time) and rarely did I see any type of compensation (even a free voucher meal) or even an apology for this. Another issue that I see on a regular basis is that of overbooking their flights, it seems that they have a policy of selling more seats than they have available. I have encountered several attendants that give the impression they hate their jobs fortunately, the company still has a few outstanding employees. AC should seriously rethink their customer service since other wonderful airlines such as WestJet and Porter will eventually get into smaller airports. Many of my colleagues and friends are also very frustrated with this airline I would be very surprised if many people still buy a ticket from Air Canada once alternative options are made available.
