I booked a hotel in NYC. Then, I had an unexpected illness in my family and I wanted to cancel the reservation a week prior to the stay. My grandmother was in a critical state in a hospital and I had to immediately travel to Europe. Priceline representatives just kept repeating that that was a non-refundable reservation.
