Not so Merry Christmas. - Orbitz.com

So I booked a ticket from Bangkok to San Francisco over the holidays through Orbitz because normally I am fine with the site and like being able to select my seat in advance. However, while looking at my booking two days later, I decided to see if the price moved up as every other website had predicted. It had actually gone down by over 250 dollars. Same airline, same flight, same code. The only difference being the lower price ticket was non-refundable. The ticket I purchased was refundable but it carried with a 150 dollar fee so it's kind of redundant to have the policy anyway.

Normally, I would not be upset about this, however, it is the same ticket, same plane, basically same everything but I just booked two days early. I called the customer service and they keep towing the line of "policy" which is fine but some times common sense needs to prevail. I don't even want to give the customer service worker a bad rap, she was doing the best she could (although she kept addressing me as ma'am even though I am a man. My name be gender confused but I told her that I was a man and she kept doing it anyway).

I mean it's bad enough I have to fly out on Christmas day and that extra money would have allowed me to pick up a few gifts instead of going to Orbitz for a "refundable" ticket.
