uined my engagement weekend - Airline ticket from Globeste
On Sep 19, i had purchased an airline ticket for NYC, leaving on the 21 of Sept to surprise my fiancee. When i had arrived to the airport for my flight on the 21, i was told by AA agent at the counter that my reservation doesnt exis aymore. At the airport, i had contacted globester by phone and I was told by agent Frank that I ( myself) cancelled the flight. Since my time was running out, I asked to speak to his supervisor (( Gustin). I was informed my his supervisor that the reservation has been cancelled by someone ( completely diff. than what i told by the other agent) His supervisor explained to me that the reservation didnt exist anymore, that it was cancelled my AA and that i was not charged for it. I told him that they failed to communicate the cancellation by phone or by email ( since they had both contact). So i went back to AA counter to find out why they had cancelled my reservation. However AA agent informed that they never cancelled it Agent were not professionals and both agents had two different things to say which did not make any sense at all.I kept going back and forth. i had missed my flight and Not to waste my time at the airport, I told the supervisor that i will follow up when i get back from NY and i hung up my phone and pull out my laptop to search for another airline ticket on that same day. Not to ruin my engagement in NY, I ended up getting another flight later that day for about $ 800.00.from another travel agent. On Tues Sept 24th, i got a call on my cell phone from globester ( customer service) which i had answered it The agent explained to me that they were some confusions and that globester had cancelled my reservation. And went on to say that it doesnt know why globester never informed me by phone or by email that reservation was cancelled prior to the flight. I told him that they had ruined my engagement and that i will seek legal action against globester when i get back from NY. On the Sept the 26, i called globester and talk to another agent ( Frank) which mentioned to me that an email was sent to me Sep 20th to contact globester and that agents called me on my cell phone but never left me a voicemail. i stated to the agent that they had both contacts to reach me but failed to even leave me a precise message about the flight. I asked to speak to his supervisor. And a gentleman by the name of Patrick came to the phone and stated after our conversation that he remembered emailing me to contact him and calling me and stated that he never left me a voicemail ( on the 20). I replied to him that there was one day left for my flight and that the least he could of done is to be specific and precise to leave and email or voicemail that my reservation was cancelled. He kept on yelling at me that it was my fault that i missed my flight and that if im not happy to seek legal action like everybody else.I went to say to him that i needed to talk to his supervisor, and he replied to go back to my emails and write any complaints that i may have to the previous email that i got from globester or to call back on Monday Sep 30... I travel a lot and That was not the first time that i had purchased tickets from Globester. However this last purchase was very personal to me and my fiancee. It was my big day and I'm very disappointed that all globester agent were very unprofessional, lack of informations and failed to leave me a specific message about my flight through my email or my cell phone.Because of globester mediocre customer service , i ended up spending extra $400 00 from the original ticket, missed my flight and got to NY the next day.. Im sorry to say that im considering to seek leagal action agaisnt globester.
