First Keurig quit after 15 months, 2nd one malfunctioning after 10 months - Keurig coffee make

We bought the high-end machines. They make excellent coffee, but at $140 , it is unacceptable that they malfunction or quit with such frequency. The first one was out of warranty, so I bought another one and disassembled the first one to understand why it was so expensive. This is one complex device with multiple electronic circuits, pumps, switches and lots of plumbing all controlled by computer. The only way we can afford these devices at all is because they are made in CHINA. Although the build quality appears very good, the warranty is inadequate. We use filtered water and have de-scaled the device as recommended. Not sure we want another Keurig .
