Sears Home Repair Service
Failure to Make Scheduled Appointment
I contacted Sears Home Repair Service to schedule a date for them to install a part on my tractor. They gave me a date and a time range from 8am to 12 noon. We waited around until 3:30pm when they finally called and said "they were overbooked" and needed to reschedule. I contacted the 1-800-4my-home number and ended up speaking with someone in a foreign country who was supposed to be helpful. I got a lot of apologies but no satisfaction as to why it is ok for me to hang around all day waiting for someone to show up. It should be illegal for companies like Sears to waste people's time like this...ever miss a doctor's appointment and they charged you anyway because you failed to call 24hrs ahead and say you couldn't make the appointment?? I think the same should apply to Sears...they should have to pay something for their incompetence. Sure, I can stop buying their junk but why should the state of Connecticut even let them operate here?
