Terrible Microsoft Store Online Shopping Experience - Microsoft Store

MS Store had a shopping event at midnight. Got online at the Microsoft Store , logged in, chose the three items I was interested in, put them in my cart, went to check out, verified my order, received an order number, selected payment method, placed order and was met with a "technical difficulties, please contact a Service Representative" error. Called the number and was on hold for 30-40 minutes. Spoke with rep who asked if I was trying to purchase something! Told her yes, she had me verify my information including last 4 digits of my card. Spent the next hour as she tried to get my order through. She then informed me I would have to create a new Microsoft account and place a new order because of technical difficulties on their side! I asked to speak with a supervisor and she said I would be told the same thing. I said I didn't care and wanted to speak with someone. After another 20 minutes on hold I spoke with a gentleman who tried to process my order but couldn't. He said my order had timed out and now one of the items that was in my cart was no longer available. He asked if there was something else I wanted to purchase. I told him no, I wanted what was in my cart. He said that when there is a high volume of traffic trying to buy things I should "clear my browser history" and try the purchase again! I told him I had the items in my cart and an order number and I clicked Place Order and it is not my fault they can't process my order. I want what was in my cart. He apologized and I said I would escalate this issue because it is just wrong. He said he would escalate on his side and gave me a case number. WORST ONLINE SHOPPING experience I have ever had and I shop online a great deal. I will NEVER shop Microsoft Store online again.
