We were in Mt. Ranier and only had a payphone to call home (no cell signal). No amount was posted, but we assumed $5 or $6 charge. Our account was held for $30 and the final bill was $25...for a 3 min
My husband and I were visiting Mt. Ranier, WA. We needed to phone our children, but didn't have a cell signal in the mountain. There were no rates publised on the payphone, so we assumed a $5 or $6 call. Our call was less than 3 minutes. NCIC held $30 on our card and the final charge was $25. REALLY - 3 MINUTES???? What a RIPOFF......... I can't believe these people continue to get away with these things. Reports go back to 07.......... Why is this okay?
