Atlas Marketing Concepts
Empire Marketing Concepts Scammers trying to lure you in the doo

These jobs were posted on LinkedIn and seemed to be pretty legitimate based on the descriptions. I tossed my resume out there, because why not. Within a day both companies were blowing up my phone and email account. Being that I work for a Fortune 500 company in marketing, making myself overqualified for the scam job.

They wanted to 'pre-interview' me right there on the phone. As soon as she found out my background I needed to get in the office immediatly. Both companies insisted they were holding interview this week and slots were filling up. They told me they were a new company growing ten-fold and were expanding their office. I've heard of these scams before, and after playing on the internet I discovered within moments both companies were scamming young college grads into 'entry level positions'.

I never followed through with interviews, or made follow-up calls. I think the know if they can't swindle you in the first phone call they've lost the potential to scam you into working for them. I've known a few people who have fallen for this kind of scam and weren't in a position to just quit their job. They never recieved compensation for the time and sales they made.

I cannot begin to stress to anyone applying for a job (particularly college grads) to do your research. Look up the company before you send your resume off. Check out their website and see what it has to say, google the companies name. And ALWAYS look them up again after they call you. Be careful, these people will take full advantage of you as long as you will let them.

Atlas Marketing Concepts and Empire Marketing Group are two BIG TIME scam companies in Birmingham, Alabama.
