Flowers delivered were not as promised Internet

I ordered a "luxury Bouquet" from Flowersexpress to thank a friend and her husband for a very expensive dinner. When she thanked me for the flowers she acted kind of funny. I had a bad feeling and asked her if she liked the flowers. I insisted she'd tell me the truth, so she finally said, "well, they are actually pretty ugly - they are not very fresh and don't look nice at all".

I was very embarrassed and sent an email to the company. They responded asking me to contact them as they needed more details. I called and told them what my friend said. They put me on hold several times, then they said that they needed to contact the florist to hear if they delivered the right arrangement. They could not reach the florist.

They then suggested that I get a picture to send to them. Ccan you imagine alling my friend and asking them to take a picture?? The whole affair was embarrassing enough - who in their right mind would do that? Then they offered me a refund of $ 15 (my bill was around $90.00) and a discount towards a future order. I did not want money back - I wanted them to send a nice bouquet to my friend. And why would I place another order with an outfit that did a bad job the first time?

In the end, they told me that unless they had a picture, they could not help me because the florist would most likely say that they delivered a nice bouquet and it would be their word against mine - and they would trust their supplier more than me!

Can you believe that? This is what came out after 25 minutes on the phone with them? They actually could not care less about my complaint! This is the worst experience I have ever had ordering on the net and I hope my complaint will stop others to use this company to avoid the (costly and embarassing) mistake I made!
