iPhone Hotline App Review: Terrible Customer Service - Video Game Rental
GameFly possibly has the worst customer service I have ever encountered. My girlfriend's brother used GameFly at our physical address. When he moved and cancelled Gamefly, he returned two games two months late, which resulted in an unpaid balance of $45. I have been a Gamefly customer for two years, and have maintained an excellent credit standing with Gamefly, now that I live at my girlfriend's house, I can no longer use gamefly due to her brother's outstanding balance. The irony of the situation is that I, a customer with no outstanding balance can no longer use Gamefly. My girlfriend's brother who has the outstanding balance, can still use gamefly since he has a new address. Why punish a good paying customer, while a bad customer can still continue to use their service. Completely unfair customer service policy. The only response I continue to get is that I owe $45 to reinstate service, or fax leasing documents to prove that I lived at a different address in 2008. I have no leasing documents from 2008. It would seem that my positive renting history would have some merit with Gamefly, but obviously not. My recommendation to people looking for a good video game renting service; check out Gamemine or Gamerang. Aside from their game selection, their customer service is much better than Gamefly.
