I noticed AT&T Advertising & Publishing Director, Bill Ude, September 2009 of eight (8) serious errors on my 2009 advertisement. After several months Mr. Ude offered me 25% off of next year’s advertisement rate. When I informed him that I did not intend to advertise the following year his attitude was ‘too bad’. For over two years I have offered to pay 50% of the advertisement cost but AT&T wants 100% (no reduction for ad errors). Note I did not even ask for damages in the loss of customers due to AT&Ts errors. AT&T’s attorney ultimately called me claiming that AT&T's agreement with me was enforceable, in spite of its advertisement errors because AT&T’s contract “severely” limits any damages I may have due to AT&T’s errors. The ‘coup de grace’ is that I was informed Monday that AT&T would not allow me to advertise in the directory unless I had all monies ‘up front’ for the 2011 advertisement even though I had done nothing wrong! Isn’t that great PR on behalf of AT&T?
