Consumer return policy

we bought a ps3 at conn's , we took it home and within a week the ps3 is not working right so we took it back to conn's to see if they can replace it with another one. We had our original receipt and all the packaging. They told us they had to test the ps3 and re create the event that it cause it to mailfunction, as soon as the turned it on it said on the tv screen that the ps3 hard drive is corrupted, but that wasnt good enough for them to show it is not working so they missed with it again to recreate the event to show its not working which who knows how long it would take to do that again which i didnt have time to wait for hours on end for it to do it agian. so i waited for a about an hour and nothin happened then the manager told me that they woulodnt take it back if it was broken. this made me very upset because i was still in the guide lines of their return policy. so i get stuck with a broken product that i have to pay intrest on for three years. i called every other retailer and they would gladly take it back within their rturn policy guidelines. I warn everyone not to buy gaming stations or laptops
