My last years issue was resovled by the manager of the Springfield Missouri Location. He was extremely cooperative. This time I called Le Mesa CA store talked to someone in guitars about a Martin DC-16RGTE used guitar listed at $600. I asked what it looked like, how it played and any structure issues and if the electronics worked. I figured it would have been rough at that price. The gentleman came back said oh, this is in great condition... Still has plastic on pickguard. It has just a couple little dings on it. I thought WoW I must buy it now. I went online and ordered and did next day shipping. I got my package 2 nights ago opened the box and was surprised it cam e with a Martin Had Shell case. I opened the case and the gloss was worn off. It had deep scratches multiple dings. the neck was beat up the head stock had gouges in it. I was pissed but decided, well $600 Still a good guitar deal. I went and grabbed my guitar polish and cloth and as I am cleaning the dust and grime off of it I almost cut my hand on the bottom of the guitar. The whole underneath had been split out, and you could tell it was not done in shipping. I called the store he said return it... I know how that works you are out more shipping so I called customer service. He was no help in resolving the fact that I was lied to. He said drive it to my nearest location that is 1.5 hours away for a complete refund. That is better than what I was told first time, but now I am out gas and time. I decided John at Springfield Missouri was so helpful I would contact him via the Guitar Center web site.. 2 days later I haven;t gotten a response. I even found a decent used guitar in another location that would be sufficient for the same price... Nothing... I am taking this back tonight, Losing my money on gas and will never use guitar center again. I spend $6,000- $8,000 on music equipment yearly. I have 2 bands a whole recording studio with drum rooms vocal rooms mastering rooms, and a DJ service that I employee 3 DJ's full time hence always upgrading equipment. I encourage everyone to stop using Guitar Center and Try another Company, I have used Sweetwater Sound, Guitar Center, and Musicians friend equally for the last 10 years and will never give guitar center or musicians friend another penny. I have decided they do not train their staff on customer service, and I just got lucky the first time I had a big problem. They fixed it and I bought another $2,500 worth of stuff online and $1,000 in store just this year and then call in and get crapped on by customer service.In Store Used USED MARTIN DC16RGTE (#109474829_U) is the item and product number if this helps out!
