Botched delivery (fridge, dishwasher, range) - Kenmore Elite
Sears knew that the truck carrying my appliances went into a ditch -- but didn't bother to tell me. So I continued on the plan to be ready for the delivery, and hired someone to disconnect my current appliances. I had offered my current range to someone, and they picked it up. Then we waited. And waited. And waited. Sears never showed up, and they never called. Now my kitchen is a mess, it has taken Sears 2 days to figure out what happened, and I have had to take another day off work because they told me my rescheduled delivery date was today. Plus I have to hire someone again to do the installations -- whenever that happens. What did Sears offer for all the frustration and extra expense? 5% off of the appliances. I said I wanted 10% to cover my extra day off of work and to hire someone a second time to do the installations, but they wouldn't budge.
