Resorts Solution Trust
Up front payment with my credit card for scam to sell my time share.

I was contacted a few days ago by phone by Resort Solution Trust, and was asked if I be willing to sell my time share. I responded that I may sell if the buying price was right. They quoted me a price that was higher than my purchase price. They also said that they had a buyer that was looking for a unit exactly like the one I have and willing to buy it. I agreed to sell my time share. Mr. Sean Cain the person from RST said he needed up front selling money to cover all the paperwork cost and legal fees to cover the sales agreement. He then requested my credit card information. I was very relucant to give him my card information and asked why my payment could'nt be made at the time of the sale? He gave me a whole bunch of reasons why they needed the payment up front and I stupidly gave him my card number. I receved RST paperwork by mail on Saterday when I first became concerned that this was a scam. The paperwork was only for a listing with RST and not a sale document. I could not contact anyone at RST becouse their office was closed for the weekend. I then contacted VISA to try to stop payment but payment was already made since three days have gone by. I reported to VISA that this transaction appears to be a fraud by RST. They told me that they will put their fraud investigators on this and not to worry I also told VISA the complete history of the transaction I had with RST.

The bottom line to all this is to check out the company you are going to do business with, the Better Business Bureau and do not give any money in any form up front by phone. Make sure first!!
