PACKAGE PAID FOR BUT NOT DELIVERED - Assagay Guest House Carvery
On 23 September 2013, I purchased 3 x vouchers valued at R216.99 each for carvery meals at Assagay Guest House. I paid a total of R650.97 (R359.97 being an EFT done on 23/09/2013 and R291.00 being a credit owing to me by Groupon ). I have, to date, not received the coupons. I have sent several e-mails to various people, made over 10 long distance calls, but to date, absolutely no response from Groupon. I used up my credit of R291 a few days ago (after realizing that at this stage I am never going to get the Assagay Guest House carvery package). I was also wary of leaving my credit on the Groupon system, fearing that it may also disappear off the radar. I have e-mailed proof of payment to Yusuf Sadan, Dhasagan Naidoo and Shameez Leeman, but after being promised a refund on 30 September 2013, still no refund or correspondence from them. I am beginning to question the ethics of Groupon and wondering how many more people are being 'ripped of'. I guess people just keep on calling and eventually realize that the telephone calls actually start to exceed the cost paid to Groupon. There is always a queue of approximately 16 to 20 people on the customer services line at any given time (makes one wonder why this is the case).
