Terrible Customer Support and Waranty
PACT140HPEC - Purchased this unit and it failed with a F1 pump failure in under 3 months. I suspected it was an anomaly and I was just the lucky soul that received a bad unit. I contacted Delonghi who sent a number of correspondence telling me that their "obligation" was limited to repair parts and I would need to cover the cost of shipping the unit to NY from Virginia. The cost to ship was over $100 and there was no guarantee that it would not fail again. I told DeLonghi that I thought they should stand behind their product as it failed very early in its life and that if they would send me a new one, and a box and prepaid shipping label to send the old one back, I would be satisfied. They declined. Again informing me of their obligations. If you buy this unit, do not expect DeLonghi to stand behind it in any way. I will be buying a competitors product to replace this one and throwing it in the trash where it belongs.
