HP aftersales support poor - HP Photosmart 7510

Everyone seems to forgot about HP aftersales service. I had bought the HP photosmart 7510 in Singapore on September 2012 and the printing alignment got issue after 2 weeks. I brought the printer to the HP service center and the service support claimed that there is no physical support in Singapore. I was given a number to call and it was route to Philipine. I had to spent more than an hour to go through the troubleshooting steps myself with instruction from the phone support. I was asked to send photos, scanned document receipt, etc to the HP support email. At last, they are convinced that the printer is faulty and I got my printer replaced after three days. I tested the printing and it was ok.

After one month, when I used the scanning, I discovered that te original scanned document was damaged by scratched marks. I called the support, and again have to spent more than an hour to going through the troubleshooting steps with the HP phone support. I was told that the printer will be replaced and I had waited for more than a week and there is no call from the HP delivery. I am still waiting for the replacement.

It has been three months and most of the time, the printer is left pending for replacement rather than actual use.

I learnt my experience that buyer should not purchase any items that does not have local support. One to one exchange is not an good offer as the vendor tends to drag the exchange and the item depreciates with the delay.
