DECEITFUL ABUSIVE RUTHLESS BLOODSUCKER ripoff business from hell

I have had two accounts with Cross Country Bank - one now is closed (thank God) and the other I am paying on. I pay all of my creditors online through my local banking institution. Well, Cross Country Bank occasionally changes its P.O. Box address - so be sure and check it out if you are paying your bill online. One month I did not check it, the payment was withdrawn from my bank and sent to Cross Country.

A couple of weeks later I received a note saying I had not made payment. When I called "Customer Nonservice" I was very rudely told that it was my problem that the money was not received. By this time the payment was officially late, so they added a $30 late fee and that put me over the credit limit and so they added another $30 over the limit fee. I faxed them proof that the payment had been made through my bank.

I finally had to call my bank and ask them for help. My bank called Cross Country and was told that the payment had been sent to the wrong address. So my Bank made another payment. The electronic payment that was originally sent was never found - it was lost in limbo.

Here's the kicker. After faxing proof that I had made the payment on time, I get a letter from Cross Country saying they will not refund my fees. That the payment mix-up was my fault. I was so mad I can't tell you. But I chalked it up to a lesson learned.

A couple of months ago, I received a notice that the terms of my account were going to be changed and if I did not want my interest rate to go up to 29.99%, I had to stop using my account and send them a certified letter confirming that I would stop using my account. I was glad to send them the letter. I was and am determined never to use the account again and pay it off ASAP. But now here's what they did. My annual fee came due this month and so they went ahead and upped my percentage rate to 29.99% even though I have not used the account as they asked. When I called I was told it was because the annual fee is considered "action" on my account.

The people I talk to at this Bank are, for the most part, rude and unfeeling. I got this account because I needed to repair my credit and they are sucking me dry for every cent they can get. All I can say is BEWARE and STAY CLEAR. Pay off your account as fast as you can and then close it and don't look back. This institution is absolutely positively the worst I have ever dealt with - hands down.

GO TO HELL CROSS COUNTRY - YOU ARE A BLOOD SUCKING, DISGUSTING INSTITUTION AND IF THERE IS A GOD, YOU WILL PAY IT ALL BACK SOMEDAY.
