I have used Bank of America's online banking for my credit card for several years. It has always been reliable for the information. However, last month when I checked to see that I had already submitted my payment (balance in full), their system reflected no pending payment and no history of a payment made for that month or amount. Therefore, I processed my payment so I would not incur interest charges. However, a few days later I notice on my bank statement that two payments were processed and one was returned, twice. So I incurred bank charges for a returned payment and a $25 charge from BofA for the returned payment. I telephoned the company and at first was told since it was my fault that I processed two payments there was nothing they could do. I spoke to a manager and he was able to reverse the $25 and give me a $50 gift card to offset some of the bank charges I incurred. By the way, the second payment that was returned was for more than the balance on the card at the time and put my account negative. I just received my next statement and noticed that some of my balance was charged interest for bank cash advances. When I called to inquire they told me that because my payment was returned it automatically charges the higher interest rate. When I explained what happened I was told there was nothing they could do. I asked for management but she still insisted it was my fault and there was no error on their part. I will not trust their system anymore
