Horrible customer service at Hollister in Monmouth Mall, Eatontown, NJ

11/30/13- I witnessed and received horrific customer service at the Hollister in Eatontown NJ. While waiting to pay, I witnessed a man being demeaned and yelled at by cashier 01839433. I surmise by the cashier's behavior that English was his second language. The cashier became increasingly rude and was mistreating the customer like he was ignorant and bothering her. I was embarrassing to watch. When it was my turn to checkout, I was helped by the same cashier (01839433). She was just as rude and abusive to me. When I asked her to repeat a question & speak up- she rolled her eyes and replied with a tone & attitude that conveyed complete disregard and disrespect for me. I would have asked to speak to a manager but past experience with Hollister's parent company, Abercrombie & Fitch, has proven that they are not interested in feedback. In fact, after negative experiences at both stores, I believe that the entire sales staff is encouraged to be rude, disrespectful and not helpful to customers.
My 12 year old daughter was witness to this negative behavior. As a mother, I do not want my child to think that treating someone with distain or being treated in the manner is acceptable. Much like with Abercrombie, I feel I have to send a message and no longer patronize either their stores. I will instead shop at American Eagle where I am treated with dignity &respect. Also, I can look forward to a true shopping experience where you can actually see the merchandise and speak to the person with whom you are shopping.

FYI- Dangerously low lighting and loud music is the atmosphere of a night club not a clothing store.
