Corbett Creek kennel or Autumn Oaks Kennel
animals and birds
Please do not let the web site or the professional/pleasant e-mails fool you!! Cannot even express the horrible experience I had with the owner of this kennel. Uses puppies to manipulate people who love animals. I will try and be to the point. Owner told me I was 4th on the list. When I went to visit Corbett Creek it was filthy and smelled of feces and urine but I over looked this because I wanted a puppy so badly. Owner said I lucked out and was moved to 1rst on the list. Then she changed her mind and said I needed to pick out a 'back up' puppy. When I went back to pick up the puppy (She scanned it and I knew the chip number) she had given it to someone else. I witnessed her take a puppy out of another couples hands and say "this is not your puppy, you need to pick another one". I was so upset my son called my husband and he told me to get my money back and get the hell out of there. Before I spoke with him I actually almost chose a puppy that did not look very healthy because my heart took over my smarts. After speaking with my husband I told her she was a horrible human being and to give me my cancelled check back. She did not have my check (what a surprise) but gave me cash. I kissed the mother of the puppies good bye and cried because I felt so bad that they had such a horrible human being as a mother. The business has moved from State to State and changed its name numerous times to avoid being shut down. I only hope that eventually whoever monitors breeders will eventually shut this business down for good. Please also note that I got Corbett Creek from The American Kennel Club thinking it would be a legitimate business. After my horrible experience I wrote them and they informed me that they do not have control over individual breeders. So basically if you pay the Kennel club fees you can be a member regardless of how good or horrible a breeder you are. Please, Please do not purchase a puppy from this business and I can only hope all the dogs there are removed and placed into loving homes.
