This is a Complaint / Review about K-mart.
I put a tv on layaway, but wasn't able to make my initial payment. I called the 800 number and they allowed me to make the payment. However, a couple of days later, a customer service rep called and said the tv that I wanted wasn't in stock, but they would give me the upgraded version for the same price. She said they would cancel my original layaway contract and put in the new one. Yeah, right! When I went back on to make subsequent payments, it kept saying that the contract had been canceled. I called the 800 # and got the run around, called the local store and was put on hold for 45 minutes each time that I called. 6 months later, I finally went into the store and bought the tv full out. That was the most irritating experience ever. I was about to try to put a tv stand on layaway this morning and started having similar issues, so I will NOT be using them again.
