Gunther Scott Horrible Non Professional Movers

This is a Complaint / Review about G and T Express Movers.

This particular mover was refered to me by a friend. I talked to the Owner Gunther Scott via phone, we agreed to $65 and hour with a minimal of 2 hours. I described everything in my home and was told that they would bring the biggest truck they had by the owner.

Then the movers themselves called and I described all the rooms and funiture I had and was told that they would not need the bigger truck but would bring the smaller truck a 17 inch. The movers were scheduled to show up at 6am on thursday morning. They came about 6:10am and started around 6:20 after going thru and viewing everything I had in this 3 bedroom 2 bath apartment.

Both movers and Owner were very nice and polite when I spoke to them orginally. One mover (john) I believe he said his name was extremly slow. They took forever loading items and the truck tuned out to NOT be big enough to fit all my belongings so they would have to make 2 trips, I was charged an extra $20. They were on their phones, walking around outside the apartment and not moving items to the truck. Because they put stuff everywere in my new place I have yet to see if anything is missing but I do have some broken Items in which I have tried to contact the owner for the past six days but no answer.

During this process the movers asked if I had any water. I gave them Bottle water first and when that was done I gave them water from my refrigerator in large cups that I had left out. When they asked for more water I had no problem giving them water as the temperature that day was a hot 104. (But they should have brought all their supplies with them)

The movers, after giving them water in cups were not satisfied, John took my jugs of water that myself and my family use and literally drunk out of them, without my permission. These were jugs that my family and I use for drinking water on a daily basis, I just felt that this was so disrespectful and nasty.

To wrap this up from 6am in the morning to 1pm in the evening it took the movers 7 hours to move all my things and when at the new house, they refuse to put any of the funiture together or they would have to charge me extra money. I was charged $475, which is ridicousouly. It should not have taken 7 hours to move and on top of that they did not complete the setup as agreed to.

They also dumped my clean clothes that were hangin in my closet on the floor and left them there. When paying for my move I had a money order which is as good as having cash and they refused to take anything other than cash. I had to go and cash the money order and bring them the cash back, which seemed very unusual and underhanded to me.

I tried contacting the owner for 6 days and I know he knows my phone number but he refuses to answer and take responsibility for his bad, non professional workers. This is the first time I had used this company and I will never use this company again and I will not recommend them to anyone.

First Impressions last forever and if you dont wont repeat business keep doing this!!
