Delivered badly damaged microwave on 12/06 (purchased 11/29) - GE Microwave

This is a Complaint / Review about Home Depot.

The box was badly smashed so there is NO way the unit should have gone on the delivery truck. But it did and they opened it up at my home and the oven was badly damaged. They took it away and told me to call the store. I was told that GE would call to re-schedule in 45 minutes. I called the store and left a message seeking follow-up. I never heard from GE. When the store rep called, he simply said they had no units in the store. Nothing was said about re-scheduling. I then called GE and left a message and called the store again. The appliance manager called but had no information so she said she would check and get back to me. Still no call from GE. The manager called and said the earliest delivery was 12/21. I informed her I would not be home that day so she gave me a number for GE and told me to call them. I called GE and they managed to move me to 12/18. In the middle of this and with the lack of support from Home Depot , I called their corporate customer support where Janelle was very concerned and got involved to get responses from my local store. She even called the next day to ensure I was re-scheduled. Of course, I am far from happy having to wait another 2 weeks for delivery of an item that should have been installed as originally planned if anyone was looking at merchandise as it was loaded for delivery. I am totally disappointed in Home Depot....if I had not started calling people, I would still not have a re-schedule date....they simply dropped me once they had my money. This is NO way to run a company!!
