Inner Thrive

I used to order the product, and although I think the product is grossly overpriced and ineffective, I did not have any negative experiences with their staff when I signed up or cancelled.

HOWEVER, when they created my subscription they misspelled my name leaving a unique identifier. When I got the first shipment, I noticed the typo and didn't correct as I suspected they would share my data with other merchants. I knew the unique misspelling would lead me back to them so I left it alone.

Months after canceling my subscription I saw a charge on my account from a third-party processor. I contacted the company who verified my information on file. Interestingly, there was the very unique misspelling of my name again. The charge was for a pornography website, so I knew two things. 1) InnerThrive leaked my info and credit card data to other merchants or their data had been hacked. 2) I've never signed up for a pornography site in my life.

The third party biller at first only wanted to cancel my "subscription". I advised "Eric" that I wanted a reversal or I'd be happy to initiate a charge back at the bank. He then agreed to a reversal and provided a confirmation number. He advised it would take up to 7 days to be refunded.

The lesson is that if you do business with InnerThrive, keep an extremely close eye on your bank account for other unrecognized charges as they either are Selling your credit card information or do not maintain adequate security of your credit card data.
