Bought a Sony Lap top 10 of 2010 yes out of warranty, in 2012 starting having problems with the screen going black, have verizon tech support they did all they could do, told me to take it to someone so I did tool it to a pc Doctor was told that the mother board was bad, when they manufactured this lap top they had bad soilder on the mother boards, since then they have upgraded the soildering procdure. Got back the cmputer from hi sent it to Sony they say it the screen part of it and they want $317.00 to fix this but no mention of the mother board being bad,If you get on Sony site as I did there are many people who have the same problem like this, I feel I am being treated unfairly ,Sony is sending back my Lap Top as it lefted, so now i can not use it at all .Only had for maybe 1 year and 1months before al these problems starting happing, Verizon has all ny case number to verify that I have the problem of the blackscreen, I feel they shoould replace my lap top or at least fix it at their expense, but since it only had a year warranty they wont,can you help meThank you Kathy Moore (Personal Information Removed)
