Shoppers Advantage

I went to claim a rebate for some tickets I bought and during the call the lady offered me a 1$ membership to the shoppers advantage. She gave me a whole spiel about how I would save a lot of money because I was a student, and I could cancel before the 30 days so I wouldn't get charged anymore. I stupidly agreed and gave her my credit card information. Well, I never received anything in the mail. No "start-up kit", rebate, nothing. So I called a few weeks after to cancel and the guy basically gave me the run around and told me to wait to see if it would come. So I did. It never came so I forgot about it and just remembered a few days ago that I needed to call again to cancel it so it wouldn't charge my card. I called this morning and the guy also gave me the run around. I said multiple times that I wanted to cancel and he kept telling me how much I would save and that he would keep it active. I got aggravated and finally my fifth time saying I WANT TO DEACTIVATE ME ACCOUNT, he finally said he would. So hopefully he really did, because I'm really not happy with this company at all. I had him tell me my de-activation numbers just in case they charge me. This was a big hassle and I would never recommend this company to a friend.
