On the 4th August I arranged to buy a mobile phone from the above number whose name was given as Phil. The next day we met up in Westcliff-on-Sea and having checked the phone worked I gave him the agreed sum of £295. After using it for a week/ten days I decided it wasn't for me and prceeded to sell it onto an internet based recycling company who agreed to pay the sum of £290 into my bank account.
A couple of days later I got a further e-mail from the recycling company that the IMEI number has been blacklisted by T-Mobile and can no longer honour the agreement until the IMEI number has been unlocked.
I got in touch with T-Mobile to find out how to get it unlocked. Their response was as the phone has been reported "lost or stolen" (insurance claim) that it can only be unblocked by the account holder.
The next thing I did was try to contact this Phil to no avail. He has not responded to any calls or texts and I have been block by him on Facebook, the account has sinced been removed.
Thanks for listening. I understand that I wont get money back but I would like to get some pleasure from getting him investigated for insurance fraud.
