I applied for a grant around August 2011. The following day I was told that I qualified for $245,000 but that I needed to pay $2,900 along with a business plan and that it would take several months to receive the grant. I e-mailed a copy of a check for the amount to Misty Lee ( The person I was speaking to at the time). On December 20th James Louis called asking for more money. This time he needed for me to send $2,550.00 to continue the process. In between I spoke with other people asking for reports that I needed to send, but the people that would ask for the money wouldn't contact me anymore. On 1/12/12 Thomas Fortner called telling me that I needed to send $6,800.00 and that, that would be the last time I would send money which is what James Louis had also told me. I deposited the money at a Wells Fargo , but I stopped payment on that check before it went to their account because I found out that they have never helped a single business get a penney of grant funding. Besides the people I mentioned Rachel Ferris, Sara Christensen, and Cierra Fusco also contacted me. I'm asking for my money back, but have not heard from them.
