Purched on what I thought was eBay Motors Auction on 07/20/2011
1963 Ford Galaxie 500Z 390, 4 Speed Red Convertible. On 07/21/2011 money was wiered to eBay agent inSanDiego,Ca.92154 Beneficiary Name Daniel Steven Babcock of (Personal Info Removed) Bank is Bank of America 605 Saturn Blvd. San Dieago, Ca. 92154. I was told the agent will hold the money until the car is shipped. Money would not be relieased until the car was recieved and accepted by purchaser. was told the would arrive nolater than Mon. Aug.1st,2011. The car did not arrive.
On 08/03/2011 I entered into an eBay live Chat with a person called Monica S. about the purch of Item 104838645641 on eBay payment invoice #4062854835. Monic S. wrote back We are very sorry to inform you that our eBay Agent bank account was frozen due to a previous transation. We have sent you a refund check that will get to you in 7-10 business days.(But that check as not arrived)
Monic S. further went on to say The car was stopped in route and I could take a $700.00 discount if I would sent them a $7500.00 Plus the normal agent fee of 0.75% for handleing. Than I would receive the car by the end of the week. I choose to stop it right there.
I did not sent any more moneyand no refunds have been received.
This looked like the classic Scam in the article I just read. Thanks Anthony Collura
