Slow DSL - AT&T DSL Internet

This is a Complaint / Review about AT&T DSL Internet.


I started with AT&T's 3.0 Mbps plan, then upgraded to the 6.0 Extreme. The most I've ever got on a speed test was 3.2 Mbps download speed. Nearly every day I have to unplug the AT&T router, unplug my wireless network router to re-set them like AT&T's support people advise you to do. My wireless router is a Netgear 600 Mbps I purchased recently at Best Buy. I cannot watch a movie on Netflix because the DSL at night goes down to 1.2 Mbps. An AT&T repair guy came out after I called AT&T and told them I was canceling my DSL, but he said the main connection for the service to our subdivision is 6 miles away, and I can't get the 6.0 no matter what I use. That sucks. AT&T didn't offer to credit me for 12 months of slow service, never coming close to 6.0 speed. I called Charter cable after another night of having streaming movies freeze and have to reload over and over. Sure hope Charter has the speed it promised.
