Wrong Area Code with DVD pruchase

This is a Complaint / Review about

I ordered a DVD on Amazon and it was delivered to me in good time - Thank you! However when I tried playing the DVD series i was informed that the Area or Zone Code was not compatible with South Africa. Now one would think that it was obvious when they ship to SA that they would know this. When logging on to Amazon they inform you that you can return it but at a additional cost of 25$ (this is R300 in South Africa) which means I paid over $75 for a stupid Series i could have gotten on other suppliers for the original price at the right area code. Is this how Amazon make their money but doping unsuspecting people to send back goods that they shipped wrong to begin with. Surely they ship to South Africa on a ongoing basis and they know that the Zone 1 will not work here. Now I can do noting with this stupid DVD - so all unsuspecting people out there, beware of Amazon as their return policy is there not to assist but to get you to pay for the goods all over again. THANKS AMAZON FOR NOTING AND BECOMING SCHEMING AND DEVIOUS WITH YOUR RETURN POLICY. DOPING PEOPLE OUT OF MORE MONEY. HOW DESPERATE HAVE YOU GOT TO BE WHEN YOU MAKE THE MISTAKE AND MAKE THE CONSUMER PAY FOR IT.
