Defective Christmas Tree

This is a Complaint / Review about treeclassics.

I purchased a 12ft xmas tree on Oct 31 on line from I was on vacation and was starting to assemble the tree on Nov18,2013. We took the first section out of the box and the stand and assembled the tree. We fluffed the branches which took up a long time and then we plugged the tree in and half of the lights worked. We tried for over an hour to find the defective light or wire on a brand new tree! I called the company to advise them of this and to request a new section or a new tree. It was under warranty and they advised they would make a report and someone would be contacting me. I advised them of my situation of only having this week off and I needed to have a replacement sent ASAP. I was told that they did not know when they could ship a replacement because it was their busy season. I asked if I could ship the tree back that came in 3 boxes to supply return labels and they could credit my account. They told me they could not provide labels and there would be a 10% restocking fee! On a defective tree. But they would send me a string of lights! Three days late I received a call from Kristine who advised the tree was scheduled to go to the shipping dept on Saturday. I asked if it would be shipped Saturday. I was told no. It would be sent there to be scheduled and after it was scheduled it would take 5-7 business days. I said well the,holiday is Thrs and Fri and I would loose 4 days. Is there anyway it could be overnighted or 2 day shipping? I was told no. I asked for a supervisors name I was told there are none for me to contact and I had to email the warranty dept and no supervisor to put attention to. I was told Aaron was working,who was a supervisor for customer service but not avalible to speak to me. I asked if I called the next day for a supervisors name to,speak to and was told there are none! Then I was told Thank you for shopping with us! It was sarcastic! I do NOT want to do business with this company. I want a shipping label sent to me because of the cost and size and weight for the defective tree. I want my money back on credit card. I contacted the credit card company also. This company did nothing at all to help rectify this problem with a supervisor calling me or shipping me a new tree with express delivery or offering any help at all! I spoke with arrogant representatives and refusals to let me speak with anyone who could help with this matter. No one from the warranty dept has ever called. I just want a tree with working lights for xmas and not from a company like this!! I should have been able to get a return label on a defective tree and sent it back due to the size. I ordered it with free shipping and that was incentive for me to purchase this tree in the first place due to,the cost.
