Michigan Unemployment - Complaints / Reviews / Scam Reports
Benefit year?

This is a Complaint / Review about Michigan Unemployment.

I work for a very small construction company, during these times work has become hard to come by not to mention its winter. Over the years I've had small claims over through this season, never really extinguishing any of weeks. Now in October 2013 I was told to file for unemployment in doing so I was also told this time by Michigan I had an open claim I could use. Now I've done this before, I'm just finishing up weeks I've already claimed. After the new year past my claim was over, I was not on EUC benefits. I then wanted to open my new claim with my 26weeks I have available to claim but because I was asked to continue to older claim my benefit year was updated to when I reopened my claim. I can now not claim until April 2014 when my benefit year expires. If this would have been known I would of obviously not reopened my old claim. Now I'm income less since the beginning of the year. The ONLY way to sort this out is to call the infamous 500-0017 phone line. Anyone reading this knows with EUC expired and the beginning of the year how am I going to be able to get call through. I've been trying daily sometimes over 50 times in one day. All I want to know is who what where when why and how I can do something about this. [email protected] or if I'm not calling UIA call or text to respond 517-358-2859
