Unethical, misleading, WATCH OUT, they will rip you off!

This is a Complaint / Review about Advanced Access.


In Nov. '07, I attended a 'seminar' presentation by Roger Butcher, the real estate sell-you-books-and-tapes guy. He hawked the Advanced Access website. For a couple hundred dollars (non-refundable), you got a bunch of Roger Butcher material and along with it, you could sign up for the 'special' deal from Advanced Access.

This was for a website, I could choose the template design, they set it up and then have their own software where you can customize it just like you want it. The deal was for 79.95/month hosting cost(plus other nickel and dime and quarter (JUNK FEES) 'misc' fees, non-refundable), 12 month contract however, they offered a 30 - day money back guarantee. If you didn't like what you saw, no further charge.

Advanced Access took almost a week from my original contact to even get the website up and running. Once it was up and running, I tried to use their software to customize but had all kinds of problems. Software very buggy. Spent way too much of my time, re-doing, re-doing, because of their buggy software. Made a ton of calls to their support line.

In one of my original conversations, I was concerned because the website wasn't even up yet and I kept asking, what about the 30 day guarantee, I don't even have a website yet, I'm not going to have 30 days to see if I like it. I was told, "Oh dont worry" the clock wont start ticking on the 30 days until the site comes up.

So when the site came up, I asked the same question about the 30 days and was told specifically, you "have until Dec. 20" to cancel within the time period allowed for the refund.

Long story short, too many problems, lots of frustration. AT one point, in conversation with a manager at Advanced Access, I was very frustrated and had just lost a couple hours work because of their buggy software and the mgr. said to me, well since you're having so many problems, we won't charge you for December hosting. I said OK.

However, problems continued, Dec. 20 rolled around and by then I had had it with the crappy product. I called and cancelled.

However, Advanced Access charged my credit card ANYWAY! I immediately sent them a complaint - no answer, no acknowledgement, etc. Nothing!

I have complained to VISA and filed a complaint against them for fraudulently charging my credit card.

Taking no chances, I also cancelled my credit card entirely. Good thing because Advanced Access continues to try to charge my credit card - for December and now January - and continues to send me "credit card declined' email messages even though I cancelled their service and have not had their website since the day of cancellation Dec. 20.

When I finally got someone on the phone again at customer service and went thru the whole story, they of cource deny that I was told anything different and continue to point out their original sales receipt says "30 day money back" and Dec. 19, not Dec. 20 was my 30 day end.

They deny I was ever told Dec. 20 as my 30 day cutoff and do not respond when I remind them that their management told me I would not be billed for December anyway!

This company is unethical and a scam. Their product is terrible. Don't get sucked in!!! You'll be very sorry.
