No option to pay when you want when on-line bill notioce comes

This is a Complaint / Review about Verizon Wireless.

Verizon has developed another way to inconvenience and nickle & dime their Customers by not allowing them to choose when to submit payment for their bill on-line.

When you get your notice to pay your monthly bill, Verizon only allows a 7 day window from the day you access their on-line payment system. SO, if I do not want to pay my bill before the due date, I have to remember to go back on-line within 7 days of the due date.

The result of this practice is that Customers, in order to not be inconvenienced, pay their bills approximately two weeks before they are due. Which in turn results in Verizon putting the money in their bank and accruing interest.

Any other on-line bill payment I use, including behemoth American Express, allows the Customer to choose the payment date.

This is a scam perpetrated by Verizon, a company that produces nothing and is merely a service provider trying to nickle & dime and inconvenience their Customers with any extra charges or aggravation they can devise.

I voiced my concerns to Verizon, got a call from a Customer Svc. Rep who pleasantly told me my only option was to set up automatic bill pay, which is something I do not do or believe in.
