Best Buy - Complaints / Reviews / Scam Reports
Best buy laptop service

This is a Complaint / Review about Best Buy.

I took my sony vaio laptop to geek squad to get fixed. It had a virus that was corrupting the hard drive. It was brought in on 10/26/13 and it was to be done 10/29/13. When it wasn't ready on the date they told me I called and found out they lost my laptop. Best buy then found it a day later and told me they were still working on it and I needed a new hard drive. They were to install a new one and return it back to factory settings. I went to pick it up 11/02/13. Upon picking it up and paying full price to fix it I turned it on to find out that they had wiped the computer and it had no operating system left. I brought it back the next day 11/03/13 and demanded that they fix what they had done and restore my computer back to a sony vaio like I originally brought them. After a long run around going through every store manager it was determined that it would be restored. I returned to pick my computer up today 11/04/13 only to find that they had cloned the corrupted hard drive with all the viruses onto the new one fixing absoultley nothing. When I demanded my money back I was met with the same run around as before. So now I still have a broken laptop in which I paid over $200 to have fixed. Does anyone know how to go dither up the corporate ladder to get some satisfaction.
