High bill after meter change

This is a Complaint / Review about City Gas of Florida.


I have one water heater; after City Gas changed the meter to a remote read meter bill jumped four times higher than my usual bill.

Called company to investigate and they said they would send a technician out to check. No problem was found but I don't believe he checked for leaks. There has to be a problem somewhere RIGHT? 175.00 for a two month bill for useage to heat water?!

City gas charged for the service call.

I talked with a gentleman who came out to retrieve payment as the bill was late and he said that his route in Merritt Island increaed jus after the change out of these meters.

Usually he had 15 accounts to collect from on the Island but his route is now at 49.

175.00 for a two month bill is unacceptable when all you have is a perfectly working water heater. Come on City Gas!!! WHAT IS THE PROBLEM HERE. If we don't find resolve to this we will be cancelling this utility returnin the rented water heater and going back to electric. I believe once the media gets ahold of this story which I also plan to do there will be interest into how one should pay so much to simply heat ones water.
