Professional Web Design and Web Development Incion

This is a Complaint / Review about Professional Web Design and Web Development Incion.

CREDENT BUSINESS SOLUTIONS has now changed its name to INCION mainly for cheating purposes

Anyone who is considering doing business, hiring or working for or with Credent Business Solutions of Los Angeles, CA and Irvine, CA beware.

Credent Business Solutions operates under the assumption that they provide IT services for small and medium sized businesses. You should be very wary of working with or hiring them for any project where you have a general expectation of good service and great quality because at Credent Business Solutions you’re going to get poor communication, lack of understanding in even the most basic of functionality and a final product that is buggy, slow and poorly architected.

The three main guys who operate Credent Business Solutions, Kishan (he apparently doesn’t have a last name – that should be your first red flag), Nithin Raj and Vipin Kumar will tell you that they can handle any web or mobile project you request; regardless of the size, scope and budget. They’ll even provide you with examples of website and mobile applications that they claim to have built and will assure you that they can meet any timeline and on stay on budget.

Our company hired Credent Business Solutions and specifically worked with Kishan and Nithin Raj, who acted as our project managers. From the moment we met them they were very nice and had a decent understanding of the technological requirements that we expected to complete our web application. Our project was not complicated or complex but did have an aggressive timeline. Part of the reason we hired Credent Business Solutions was because of their insistence that they would be able to deliver a quality project, on or under budget and meet our project aggressive deliverable date.

We did a background check on them as well as reference check. Although each reference came back ok (we successfully verified four references), after the project kicked off we quickly learned that the references provided to us were for small web projects that a high school senior could have built. Our deliverable was much more labor intensive and the required a much deeper understanding of best web practices, standards and coding regimen.

Credent requires a nearly 50% down payment (do NOT pay them half of the project at kick off or any dev shop for that matter). If they will not start without a 50% down payment even before one line of code is written, walk away – this is NOT industry standard. We negotiated with them and only paid at project conception about one quarter of the entire project cost.

Almost from the beginning, after they had our first down payment on the project, the relationship changed. They didn’t return our emails and phone calls, they stopped providing us weekly project reports (which were promised in the Scope of Work) and they wouldn’t provide us with live demos of the project (something that is standard in any project lifecycle).

After four weeks of withholding and failing to provide any update on the project, we demanded they show us something. Kishan and Nithin Raj had a million reasons why they couldn’t show us something and often times sent long rambling emails about why they weren’t able to produce a working demo. Since we were on such a tight timeline, these delays and inconsistencies between what Kishan and Nithin Raj were telling us raised a number of red flags.

When they finally showed us what they had spent nearly six weeks working on, it was an absolute mess. Besides being unstable and buggy, it was nowhere near functional and they had barely 20% of the entirety of the project even started. When we asked them why the code was in such bad condition and why 80% of the project had not been completed, they shot back and said we had not provided them with assets they had requested. This was a downright lie and they had never indicated either by email or phone call that they were held up waiting on assets from our team – besides the fact that it had everything to do with the quality of their code not things like text or graphics which we provided.

We gave them an ultimatum to quickly fix the issues we outlined and show us more progress within one week. At this point in the project we realized we had made a mistake hiring these guys and realized that outsourcing this project to developers in India was actually a very bad decision on our part. We had heard stories from our colleagues who warned us about working with developers from India, but we continued with them only to find our colleagues were right and it has ended up causing us a lot of stress, grief and most recently a lawsuit we have filed against Credent Business Solutions.

After a week, Credent Business Solutions again delayed showing us anything because they “needed more time” to understand the logic – something which should have been completed nearly four weeks earlier according to their development schedule provided at project kick off.

We fired Credent Business Solutions after meeting with Kishan and Nithin Raj after this second failed attempt to see a working demo and failing to show any completed functionality. Once again they had a million reasons why it wasn’t completed. They even told us one of their family members had passed away and they just up and took off out of town for a few days – never once notifying us that we wouldn’t be able to get in touch with them. While we are most certainly sympathetic to the loss of a family member, a legit business does not stop working when something like that happens.

We had paid Credent Business Solutions nearly $12, 000 dollars at this point. When we met with Kishan and Nithin Raj, we all agreed that based on how poorly the project was managed, how buggy the code was and how we had absolutely nothing to salvage, they would return nearly $9, 000 to us.

However, after they left our final face-to-face meeting, we couldn’t get in touch with them again and they failed to work with us to come to an agreement to return our capital. After weeks of going back and forth with Kishan, only to get nowhere, we decided we were left with no choice but to file a lawsuit in an attempt to reclaim what we had paid them.

Once Credent Business Solutions was served with the lawsuit, they quickly attempted to settle with us for much less than we were willing to negotiate. Although we were not shocked they would do this based on their business practices, they believed they should be able to keep almost the entire amount we had paid them. What did we have in return? No functional application, no code we could salvage a lot of anxiety and stress and two guys who seemed to be traveling the country more than they were working on client projects.

You need to beware of doing business with Credent Business Solutions.

This is a warning to anyone who is considering working with Kishan, Nthin Raj and Vipin Kumar – all of which are more concerned with getting your business than helping your business. We’re a small business and the loss of $12, 000 has been devastating and these guys know that. Rather than do the right thing and part on decent terms, these guys would rather screw us.

There are a ton of really great IT solutions but Credent Business is not one of them. I would never go to the trouble to share this story with anyone else unless I was concerned they would do it to someone else. In fact, we’ve found out at least one other business in Los Angeles who has worked with them and fired them for the exact same reason.

If you want to do business with Credent Business Solutions, ask yourself if you’re prepared to deal with people who have no interest in providing great client service, building quality applications and doing the right thing when times get difficult. Businesses like Credent Business Solutions will never last long as long as they continue doing business as usual.

Note - CREDENT BUSINESS SOLUTIONS has now changed its name to INCION mainly for cheating purposes
