Navigation very inaccurate - Ford Focus

This is a Complaint / Review about ford motor company.

I purchased a 2013 FORD FOCUS Nov 2012 and took the optional navigation system because I needed it. Since the firsr time I used the system it did not fuction properly. It is inaccurate placing the vehicle location on either a different street or driving through backyards. When the destination is right ahead at 50 yards the system tells to turn left then right at the next street to reach the destination. Needless to say that this could be dangerous as well as getting the driver lost. The vehicle has been to the dealership twice for two hours each time. The whole software was updated as well as the new version SD card installed. The second time the service dept liasoned with FORD but never received an answer back. I then called customer service at FORD and spent twenty minutes explaining the problem. All was noted down and I was given a case id # and a promise that a supervisor would call me in 5 days. Ten days later I recalled FORD and despite the fact that I had a case id # I spent twenty minutes again going over the whole thing again. The bimbo on the phone dropped a bombshell telling me %u201C Didn't the dealership that sold you the car tell you that the nav system only works in Canada when you are close to the USA border.%u201D DUH
She too gave me a case id number but despite me telling her to write all this info in the file it could not be found the next time I called FORD. Another twenty minutes wasted. The 3 rd agent said go back to the dealership. He too didn't know much either because he asked me that I SHOULD ALSO PUT IN THE STARTING POINT and the DESTINATION point.. The nav system only works when I start up the car but DON%u201DT MOVE. I had a nav system in my 2010 f150 which not only worked but had many usefull features that this 3 year newer system does not. Its a shame that I had not bought a 2013 FUSION 1.6 L and was lucky enough for it to burn up. This is warning to all car buyers that they should never assume that new technology is improving on the older one. FORD doesn't do this.
