GEICO - Complaints / Reviews / Scam Reports

This is a Complaint / Review about GEICO.

good afternoon, I have mechanical breakdown coverage on my 2006 Chrysler and have had it since 2007 at the purchase of the car... in November 2012 I had my oil change as I have every 3000 miles since I had the car... On December 31 my oil light came on and immediately my car started sounding like a truck... I pulled over and called the shop that changed the oil a month prior and was told to bring the car in, I had it towed to the shop and was told that it was possibly the oil pump gone bad, I called my insurance company GEICO and told them they called the shop and after they called the shop I was told to now have the car towed to the Dealer (DARCARS) and now after a week later I am being told by GEICO that it is the engine and I am responsible for it becuase I only have the last receipt for an oil change... and they calim they require you to provide the last three years of receipts...and according to the policy it does not require me to save receipts for such work and GEICO is giving me the run around... GEICO was supposed to help with my two wek rental and to date have not and I ended up having to purchase a new car because the cost to repair my car is more than I owe on the car... CAN YOU HELP ME PLEASE
